How will these developments affect Burleigh going forward?

As per the latest PopTrack data, Burleigh Heads has emerged as the top choice among interstate property buyers, particularly those flocking from Sydney and Melbourne. 

While new high-rise projects, some towering more than 20 stories, are expected to add tremendous density, Burleigh's weekend traffic and parking woes remain a pressing issue. Of course, it would be amiss to think that the Gold Coast council has overlooked this vital consideration in approving these ambitious cloud-grabbing constructions...

Although some may unfairly criticise developers, it's critical to recognise that their main job is to maximise the potential of their projects. Beachfront land is scarce and expensive, and building expenses have soared, leaving developers with no other option than to capitalise on every opportunity they can. Put simply, it is their job to push the envelope.

On the other hand, it's the council's duty to ensure that the city plan upholds all aspects of the community, including parking, traffic, and the obstruction of sun-rays on the beach during winter. The question is, can we have faith in the GC council to maintain a delicate balance between accommodating development and safeguarding the community's interests?
